The practical application falls into three stages:
Stage I: being added to some taxis and operating vehicles for experimental use.
Stage II. Being added to fuel oil at gas stations in Lanzhou to expand the application scope.
Stage III. Expand the application scope further by using it in Lanzhou, Dingxi, Zhangye, Jiuquan, Jiayuguan, etc. in Guansu province.

Stage I. Primary application at some vehicles
From April to December, 2004, Lanlian MAZ was added into the oil tanks of some taxis and operating vehicles in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. According to car owners, cars with MAZ added can travel a longer distance, the gas exhaust has no peculiar smell, grade climbing power is enhanced due to increased motor power and the motors run normally.

Stage II. Generalize it to more vehicles
From March 2005 to June 2006, Lanlian MAZ was added to fuel tanks at gas stations in Lanzhou and peripheral regions in Gansu Province. The number of return clients rose clearly after that.

Stage II. Expand the application scope
From July 2006 to December 2008, more than 800 tons of Lanlian MAZ was applied to 15 million cars through more than 300 gas stations in Lanzhou, Dingxi, Zhangye, Jiuquan and Jiayuguan in Gansu province, resulting in handsome fuel-saving and emission-reducing effect. There has been no complaint due to engine damage caused by Lanlian MAZ.
